Her winning publication is titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emeraldinsight.com\/doi\/full\/10.1108\/MHSI-06-2017-0027\">Mental health of people in the military depends on social inclusion: why not for all of us?<\/a>\u201d In the paper Sue discusses recent research on military personnel\u2019s adjustment when they return from combat. \u00a0Taking into account their families and sense of social inclusion is key to mental well-being. The involvement of the spouse or close partner in psychological therapy may also be crucial to reintegration into civilian life.
