To adhere with the Accessibility Regulations 2018, this hands-on workshop will outline how to make your Blackboard site more accessible, including checklists on ensuring the content you upload to your Blackboard site meet basic accessibility requirements.
About the Workshop
Aims
The aims of this workshop are:
- to provide a greater understanding of accessibility issues that users can face within the Blackboard Learn environment;
- to explore the Blackboard Ally accessibility tool and identify how it can be used to resolve accessibility issues;
- to look at simple techniques to avoid accessibility issues with some of Blackboard’s in-built tools.
Technology / Facilitators
The workshop focuses on the use of Blackboard Learn and it’s in-built accessibility tool, Blackboard Ally. The workshop will be facilitated by LTE’s Learning Technology Skills Developer and/or one of the department’s Faculty Learning Technologists.
