{"id":2,"date":"2014-10-28T20:52:48","date_gmt":"2014-10-28T20:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cccupsychology.com\/cognitioncreativity\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2022-09-20T13:17:47","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T12:17:47","slug":"sample-page-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/creativityandcognition\/","title":{"rendered":"Cognition and Neuropsychology"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<p>We study aspects of consciousness and conscious awareness and the underpinnings and cognitive outcomes relating to human and animal behaviour.\u00a0 The research we undertake includes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Attention and perspective taking:<\/strong> Using eye-tracking and cognitive tasks to explore the influences on the allocation of attention and the ability to take another person\u2019s visual perspective; exploring attention biases to environmental stimuli; and exploring underlying processes in face recognition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>A<\/strong><strong>nomalous cognition:<\/strong> Exploring evidence of extrasensory perception (ESP), including precognition, telepathy, and psychokinesis, and examining the implications for human consciousness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Comparative cognition:<\/strong> Examining cognitive abilities across a range of domestic species (i.e., dogs, cats, horses, mules) to find out how they perceive the world and solve problems.
