Christ Church Sport has an opportunity for 14 passionate and enthusiastic CCCU students to become Sport Ambassadors for the academic year 2016-17.
In 2014, Christ Church Sport received funding from Sport England to deliver the PlaySport project over three years which focuses on creating opportunities for students and staff to get active regularly and encourages the development of a sporting habit for life. The PlaySport project provides a follow on to the beginner level TrySport activities and includes flexible turn up and play activities, semi-competitive leagues and local activities across Kent. The award includes funding for student ambassador positions to drive sport participation forward at Christ Church.
The 14 positions, which are paid at £8.25 per hour, are split into two categories:
Activity Team (10)
- Sport Activity Leader – 3 positions
- Inclusive Sport Ambassador
- Broadstairs Sport Ambassador – 2 positions
- Medway Sport Ambassador
- Football League Coordinator
- Futsal League Coordinator
- Netball League Coordinator
Marketing Team (4)
- Sports Promoter – 2 positions
- Graphic Designer
- Photographer / Videographer
The successful applicants would be expected to work 4 hours per week during term time and would commence the role on 1st September 2016 until 30th June 2017. Closing date for applications is Sunday 15th May 2016 and interviews will be on Thursday and Friday the 26th and 27th May 2016.
