Choosing your topic

Your dissertation is likely to be the longest piece of research and academic writing that you undertake during your undergraduate studies. It is vital that you choose a topic that you are passionately interested in pursuing as you will be spending a significant proportion of your time on this project. Preparing a dissertation can be an exciting and challenging process so your interest in your topic will help to keep you motivated throughout the process. As well as bearing in mind your own interests and passions, it is also important to establish whether your research topic is feasible for a dissertation of the length you are required to write.
