Self-paced, self-directed flexible learning
The Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology has added new online CPD courses to its existing suite of BPS-accredited PGDip and PGCert Practice awards. The new CPD courses will help expand and support good practice in clinical neuropsychology nationally, in the NHS and elsewhere.
The courses focus on specific groups including:
- older adult neuropsychology
- child/adolescent neuropsychology
- adult acquired brain injury
And generalist neuropsychological knowledge and skills such as:
- neuroanatomy and behaviour
- psychometric testing, assessment and formulation
- therapeutic approaches with neurological patients.
For more information about the different course options, please click: CPD in Clinical Neuropsychology for Psychologists Course Series (site.com)
The CPD courses are derived from the same online content, activities, and e-reading lists as the BPS-accredited PGDip, which leads to recognition as a specialist in clinical neuropsychology. The content is accessible and highly clinically relevant, developed by practicing clinical neuropsychologists and allied health and medical professionals who work in clinics, community care, and neurorehabilitation hospitals.
Who are the courses for?
The courses are open to all practitioner psychologists who work with patients with neurological conditions or brain injuries, and who may not have the opportunity, time, or money to follow the recognition route as a specialist. This is an excellent way to access the same learning in a modular format!
How do I apply?
There are 10 separate CPD courses that can be purchased either individually, or as a bundle at a discounted price. Registrants will have a period of 10 weeks to complete each course, making it a flexible way to learn.
Course content offers original media recordings, reading and activities presented in Microsoft Sway, with full access to Canterbury Christ Church University e-Library and e-book chapter and e-journal reading lists.
