We want to share an overview with you here, as we build excitement and anticipation for the release of the events. We\u2019ve spoken to employers, and based our workshops around what they want to see in applicants. You don\u2019t have to stick with things related to your degree course, in fact, we urge you to try something new and different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>EDIT: Workshops will begin going live from 10:30am on Wednesday 1st July. Keep an eye on our Social Media for updates!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From  Tuesday 30<sup>th<\/sup> June we\u2019ll begin to release our workshops for July and August, and a calendar to visually show you what\u2019s happening when, with bookings made possible on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/careers-amp-enterprise-hub-canterbury-christ-church-university-16500190444\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Eventbrite<\/a> page. Here&#8217;s an idea of what&#8217;s coming up&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong>Quick Note:<\/strong> FAQs &#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All sessions will be delivered remotely and online. You\u2019ll need to sign up on Eventbrite as the sessions are released on 30<sup>th<\/sup> June, then you\u2019ll be sent a link and joining information 24 hours before your course begins. <\/li><li>Sessions are only available to all current students, and to those within 3 years of graduating. They are free for you, but as there is a cost to us (and in the interest of fairness) we request that if you book on, you make it your priority to attend. If you have any questions or problems, please email <a href=\"mailto:careers@canterbury.ac.uk\">careers@canterbury.ac.uk<\/a><\/li><li>There will be a waiting list activated for each event, so even if the event is fully booked, do register for the waiting list and we\u2019ll let you know if a space becomes available.<\/li><li>When the events go live, you\u2019ll notice some come up on more than one day \u2013 these are repeats, so please only book in to one of each titled session. Repeat bookings will be cancelled. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong>So, here&#8217;s the line up&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Media at Work \u2013<\/strong> in this comprehensive 2 hour session, you\u2019ll learn about how to make social media work for advertising and building business. You\u2019ll hear great examples of how it\u2019s used in industry, and be able to hold a strong grasp of the benefits. You\u2019ll be able to ask questions, and at the end there\u2019ll be a short quiz to check you\u2019ve got it, so we can give you a fun e-certificate of participation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/careers-amp-enterprise-hub-cccu-16500190444\" class=\"aioseop-link\">BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Digital Storytelling and Smartphone Content Creation \u2013<\/strong> this is a one day course, and you\u2019ll need access to a smart phone to take videos. It\u2019s for you if you\u2019re completely new to these areas \u2013 as an entry level AQA. &nbsp;It starts with two hours explaining pre-production, planning, finding an audience and giving hints and tips for production. Then, there will be a break for you to film your content, followed by another two hour session on post-production, looking at editing your footage, uploading, and sharing it. There will be a short quiz to demonstrate what you\u2019ve learned. You will receive AQA certification for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/careers-amp-enterprise-hub-cccu-16500190444\" class=\"aioseop-link\">BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adobe Photoshop Essentials \u2013<\/strong> this is a two day course. You\u2019ll need access to Photoshop for this, but if you don\u2019t have it, please email and let us know \u2013 don\u2019t let this be a prohibiting factor for you. This will help you navigate the software, and use Photoshop\u2019s tools to work with digital images. Although Photoshop is used by a variety of professionals, from marketing departments and organisations, from photographers to designers, this introduction course focuses primarily on the photography component. The course is suitable for anyone using Photoshop CS5, CS6 or CC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/careers-amp-enterprise-hub-cccu-16500190444\" class=\"aioseop-link\">BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learn to Code \u2013 Using JavaScript &#8211;<\/strong> this is a one day course. Even for the simplest webpage, working with JavaScript has become an essential skill for any developer or designer. This course looks at first principles in how to start using JavaScript to interact with the page. If you are new to programming and need to learn how to wrangle this powerful and flexible language, you will find this course an essential skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/careers-amp-enterprise-hub-cccu-16500190444\" class=\"aioseop-link\">BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Microsoft Office Specialist \u2013<\/strong> after our very successful trial in June, we\u2019ll be running more Microsoft workshops. There are three main ones; Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Once you\u2019ve completed the workshop, you\u2019ll be invited to choose an exam slot. If you pass all three exams, you\u2019ll be able to call yourself a Microsoft Specialist Associate on your CV and LinkedIn. Completed all 3?
