Its previous winners have gone on to enjoy success in the legal industry, with several becoming barristers and solicitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>University of\nBuckingham student Charley-Anne Gordon was named winner of the Future Legal\nMind Award 2019. She said: \u201cWinning the competition has given me a boost to\nfinish my degree and take another step towards my career goal of becoming a\nlegal academic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d encourage\nanyone who is passionate about pursuing a legal career to enter Future Legal\nMind 2020. Writing the competition essay gave me a chance to express my passion\nfor law and the areas which interest me most, and to show my skills and\nknowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Future\nLegal Mind Award is open to current law students \u2013 both undergraduate and\npostgraduate \u2013 and to legal trainees, including apprentices, who are in the first\ntwo years of their law career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition\nwinner will receive a prize package including \u00a32,000 and a mentoring session\nwith one of National Accident Helpline\u2019s experienced in-house lawyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enter, entrants must write an essay response to the competition question, which can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.national-accident-helpline.co.uk\/future-legal-mind\">www.national-accident-helpline.co.uk\/future-legal-mind <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judges will\nreview the essays and choose a shortlist of 10 entrants. Each of these 10\npeople will then be asked to create a smartphone video explaining why they\nshould be named as the winner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judges will\nthen review the videos, alongside the submitted essays, to choose their winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom Fitzgerald,\nManaging Director of National Accident Helpline, said: \u201cEvery year we are more\nand more impressed by the quality of the entries we receive from the lawyers of\ntomorrow who are studying or working all over the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are very\nproud of the achievements of our Future Legal Mind winners to date and we\u2019re\nlooking forward to finding the country\u2019s brightest legal talent of 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entries for Future Legal Mind 2020 must be submitted by midnight on Friday 28th February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need help applying?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are still unsure of how such an opportunity would benefit your future career, or are struggling to know what skills would make you a good applicant &#8211; talk to the Careers and Enterprise Team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can help with applications and give general advice in many ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Come see us at the Careers and Enterprise Hub in Augustine House.
