Have you ever considered a career in Further Education?\u00a0<\/strong>Whether it’s something you’ve thought about for a while, or something you’ve recently considered, we are offering you the opportunity\u00a0to gain invaluable experience with paid placement opportunities in FE colleges across Kent.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Further Education (FE) includes general FE colleges, sixth form colleges and independent training providers. FE colleges can be one of the largest employers in their local area. It is a diverse and passionate sector with a wide range of employment opportunities.\u00a0FE covers both vocational (including apprenticeships) and academic (A-levels and GCSEs) courses. It provides young people and adults with the skills required to gain employment or secure a place at university.<\/p>\n

Are you passionate about what you do? If the answer is yes, then why not share that passion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are excited to be able to offer this unique opportunity for a paid placement in the FE sector<\/strong>. This placement would be in a teaching related role and is open to final year undergraduates<\/strong>. The project is funded by the Education and Training Foundation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How does it work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Calling final year students: undergraduate and postgraduate included!<\/strong>\u00a0Through an application and interview process, you will have the opportunity to tell us about yourself, your skills and knowledge and your area of specialism<\/strong>.\u00a0If successful, you will be matched with a college: Hadlow College<\/strong> (Hadlow, Tonbridge, Ashford); North Kent College<\/strong> (Dartford, Gravesend); or East Kent College<\/strong> (Broadstairs, Canterbury).<\/p>\n

All successful students will be paid! \u00a3350 for 40 hours.<\/strong> These hours can be completed flexibly to fit around classes, exams and other commitments from January-March 2018.\u00a0You will be paid \u00a3175 at the start of the placement and a further \u00a3175 on completion of the placement.<\/strong>\u00a0The placement will include a range of activities and experiences such as an induction to the college, assisting with teaching, attending meetings, planning lessons, and more, giving you a real flavour of working in FE. The college will provide a dedicated link person to support you throughout the project.<\/p>\n
