The Careers team will be hosting a careers cafe event, specifically for disabled students on 6th December in AH3.31<\/strong>. Enjoy a cup of tea and some cake whilst meeting employers and alumni who have experience of working\/coping with disability in the workplace.<\/p>\n

If you are worried that a disability, Specific Learning Difference, Autistic Spectrum Difference, long-term or mental health condition will affect your future, come along and get some advice.<\/p>\n

Regardless of what sector you hope to work in, hearing about real-life experiences will give you the chance to gain knowledge and ask questions that are personal to you.<\/strong> This, in turn, will strengthen your confidence in entering a recruitment process and help you land the job of your dreams.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The format of the day will be \u2018speed networking\u2019. Please arrive by 2.00pm<\/strong> so that you can take a seat at one of the small round tables. Employers will introduce themselves within the small group and speak for a few minutes before taking questions and moving to the next table. This informal approach is generally less daunting and allows you to ask questions easily. You are welcome to bring along a friend, mentor or family member, but please indicate so by selecting one extra ticket when booking.<\/strong><\/p>\n
