A picture is worth a thousand words. A great picture of you can tell people many things\u00a0about you, your\u00a0personality and\u00a0interests.\u00a0Having a good professional photo\u00a0is a great thing to have\u00a0if you are applying for graduate\u00a0roles after university.\u00a0Come along to the Life After Uni event on Wednesday 15th<\/sup> March in The Atrium, Augustine House, Canterbury for the chance to have your photo taken professionally, FOR FREE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This unique opportunity, taking place in The Atrium, will give you the chance to get a professional photo taken for professional use, such as your LinkedIn profile. The photograph will be sent to your email address, meaning that you can access and use it straight away.<\/p>\n

These photos come free of charge and are a great opportunity for you to boost your professional brand (more on that HERE<\/a>). If you are hoping to have a photo taken, make sure you dress the part; smart or smart casual.<\/p>\n

Why do\u00a0I need a professional photo?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

LinkedIn is a professional platform and a photo completes your profile. Profiles with photos get 14x more views! Some employers will even use this as a filter for candidate selection: if you don\u2019t have a photo, you\u2019re out. If you don’t have a good professional photo, you’re definitely out!<\/p>\n

These head shots are, in most cases, the first impression an employer will get of\u00a0you, aside from your CV and covering letter, so you want to make sure you stand out, but are extremely professional.<\/p>\n

Taking place Wednesday 15th March, 3.00-6.00pm in Augustine House<\/strong>, this event is a fantastic opportunity to get information on transitioning into the world after university. Speak to the likes of: Lloyds Bank<\/a>, Reed Global Recruitment<\/a>, National Citizen Service<\/a>, Department for Wok and Pensions<\/a>, Frontier<\/a>, Pioneer and Beyond<\/a>, Unitemps<\/a>, Student Support, Health and Wellbeing<\/a> and other university services.<\/p>\n
