Of course, acts of kindness\u00a0don\u2019t need to be limited to just one day. Volunteering is another way you can consciously help to make others happy, in various ways!<\/p>\n

Student Volunteering Week<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Next week just happens to be Student Volunteering Week, a week dedicated to celebrating student volunteering and encouraging non-volunteers to get involved.<\/p>\n If you aren\u2019t already volunteering and you\u2019re interested, or even if you are and you want to find out about more opportunities, make sure you pop along to Augustine House on Wednesday 22nd<\/sup> February for the Volunteering FAIR.<\/strong> Here you will have the opportunity to speak with local charities and organisations. Details of the event can be found on the Facebook event HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n Also make sure to register on the volunteering website at canterburyvolunteering.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n To round off Student Volunteering Week, the Volunteering team are also collaborating with arts charity, People United, CCSU (Christ Church SU) and Kent Union to deliver an event in Canterbury City Centre on Saturday 25th<\/sup> February, to celebrate student volunteering and to spread some positivity.<\/p>\n If you\u2019d like to get involved in the organisation\/running of either or both of these events visit canterburyvolunteering.org.uk<\/a>\u00a0or email volunteer@canterbury.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Life After Uni Workshops<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n All Students<\/span><\/p>\n The final Life After Uni workshop \u2018CVs for Life after Uni\u2019 will take place on 1st March. This will cover the do’s and don’ts of CV writing to maximise the impact of your CV as you apply for graduate jobs. This takes place: Wednesday 1st<\/sup> March, 2.00-3.00pm.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MPA Students<\/span><\/p>\n The final Life After Uni workshop for Music and Performing Arts students \u2018DELIVER\u2019 also takes place on 1st<\/sup> March from 2.30-5.30pm in Of50. Following on from the other workshops and DISCUSS Employer Networking event, you now have the chance to build and strategise your portfolio to deliver the career you want.
