ideas for a new product or service that is out of the ordinary&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community &#8211; ideas that tackle inequality, safety and the wider needs of society&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Freelance &#8211; showcase a freelance career and ideas for impact&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovation &#8211; ideas that change up the way we normally do things for the better&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability &#8211; Professional Writing, 3rd Year &nbsp;<br>Idea: Wellbeing workshops utilising photography, poetry and prose as creative therapy.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creative Runner-up: Mathea Martin<\/strong>, Visual Communications Masters\u00a0<br>Idea: A digital theatre company showcasing interactive and educational productions.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Winner: Tobias Sanderson<\/strong>, Visual Communications Masters&nbsp;<br>Idea: A mental health campaign for men struggling to talk at university.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Runner-up: Kai Hay Da Silva<\/strong>, Business Information Systems, 1<sup>st<\/sup> Year&nbsp;<br>Idea: Creating a metaverse futuristic community experience within the Roblox platform.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Freelance Winner: Matthew Humby<\/strong>, Graphic Design 2nd Year&nbsp;<br>Idea: A freelance portfolio utilising digital art and AI to secure brand partnerships.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Freelance Runner-up: <\/strong><strong>Arafah Sydney Adenekan<\/strong>, Media &amp; Communications, 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Year&nbsp;<br>Idea: An online jewellery shop \u201cIced by Thee Tooth Fairy\u201d with a growing client base.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Innovation Winner: Abel Shynu<\/strong>, Computer Forensics &amp; Security, 1st Year\u00a0<br>Idea: Specialised socks for beachgoers that repels sand.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Innovation Runner-up: Amina Hebouche<\/strong>, Business Management &amp; Sociology, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Year\u00a0<br>Idea: An app that combines all social media messaging in one platform, reducing doom-scrolling and retaining messaging functionality.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sustainability Winner: Jamie Forster<\/strong>, Business Management &amp; Sport and Exercise Science, 3rd Year&nbsp;<br>Idea: An app to enable students to sell their course books to other students&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sustainability&nbsp;Runner-up: Archie Molt<\/strong>, Biomedical Science, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Year&nbsp;<br>Idea: A CCCU on campus greenhouse to grow produce for students in partnership with the Student Green office.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to continuing to support all of our Big Idea winners and runners-up over the coming year through our range of programmes designed to help them take the next steps with their business ideas, starting with the <em>How To Make Money<\/em> workshop series on 31<sup>st<\/sup> January.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All winners and runners up were announced and celebrated during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023; and Sophie Chadwick, Director of Graduate Futures at CCCU, presented them with a cash prize (\u00a3100 for the winners and \u00a325 CCCU bookshop voucher for the runners up).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to say a big congratulations to all of our&nbsp;winners, runners-up and everyone who took part this year, and thanks to our competition partners for supporting us in making it such a success!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Special thanks to the following CCCU staff who acted as key panel members assessing the ideas:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr Peter Rands, Director of Sustainability Development \u2013 Sustainability Category Panellist&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr William Hill, Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design \u2013 Creative &amp;
