Open to all with an interest in new music and sound!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets are free, but we ask that you book your free place in advance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/arts-and-culture\/event-details.aspx?instance=375006\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturday, 22nd January 2022<\/strong> \/\/ Canterbury Christ Church University<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>New Mimesis: simulation, models, metaphors and data in music<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>12-6pm<\/strong> \/\/ <strong>Daphne Oram Gallery and DO 0.14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Free, public conference co-hosted with The Orpheus Institute for Artistic Research in Music (ORCiM) Ghent, Belgium<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Performances and talks, celebrating a local community of pioneering musicians.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>7pm-10pm<\/strong><\/strong> \/\/ <strong>St. Gregory&#8217;s Centre for Music<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7pm: Curated by Maureen Wolloshin: Khabat Abas, Anna Braithwaite, Isidora Edwards, Maureen Wolloshin&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8pm: Evan Parker: &#8216;Concert in Iwaki&#8217;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9pm: Free Range Orchestra<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to keep our community safe and healthy, all upcoming in-person events at CCCU are subject to change depending on current government guidelines and the recommendations of our health and safety team. Audience members are encouraged to do a lateral flow test prior to attending any event on our campuses and will be required to wear a mask at all times unless medically exempt.
