Have you ever wanted to get involved with events at CCCU? Do you wonder what’s happening behind the scenes? Here’s an exciting opportunity to support the events, exhibitions, social media and marketing work of the Arts and Culture team.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We manage a variety of public events in our campus venues throughout the year, including exhibitions, talks, music and performing arts, a series of Canterbury Festival lunchtime concerts and the Canterbury Medieval Pageant. The A&C team runs the Box Office and our social media channels (Instagram<\/a>, Tiktok<\/a>, Threads<\/a>) and produces blogs, e-newsletters and print marketing material.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We are recruiting a small team of Arts and Culture Interns who will support social media content creation, and other communications aimed specifically at engaging CCCU students. Interns will also work on events, including front of house, box office, artist liaison, stage management and assisting with lighting and sound systems. You will also be able to support the development of exhibitions in our two campus galleries. You are welcome to focus on your preferred areas of interest. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Regular paid training sessions will be provided, including venue orientation, the box office system, front of house procedures, simple technical set-ups, and content creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills and experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ideal candidates will be confident communicators who have some experience of live events, exhibitions, and\/or a demonstrable knowledge of creating engaging social media content. Experience of content creation and management software (e.g. Adobe Suite, Canva, Hootsuite) are desirable but not essential.\u00a0Selected candidates will need to be available for some daytime, evening and weekend events on campus. There will also be occasions to also work from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviews and eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 1 October 2024. The selected candidate will need to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK before starting the position.\u00a0Hours can be worked flexibly around other commitments.\u00a0Only current CCCU students and CCCU alumni who graduated in 2024 are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
