50th reunion celebrations

We were delighted to welcome back alumni from 1973 and 1974 for a special reunion lunch to mark 50 years since their time at CCCU. Our thanks to all who came and helped make it such a special day!

“It was wonderful to be so warmly welcomed back after all these years and to meet up with old friends. The shared memories came flooding back and it was a great tour of new and old C4, particularly the prison! We felt the whole day represented the same spirit of warmth and community we had experienced all those years ago.” Colleen and Jim Howard

The lunch was follow by an update from Deputy Vice-Chancellor Alison Honour, then a tour of the campus, taking on some of the new buildings, as well as the prison site.

  1. Thank you so much organisers of this memorable reunion. It was such a lovely surprise that 7 of us had already planned to meet up in Canterbury on the same weekend. To be provided with a delicious lunch, tour of the campus and to meet up with others from our year group just surpassed our expectations.
    Thank you once again

    PS great cake too!

  2. What an enjoyable day, bringing back so many memories & catching up with fellow students.
The food was excellent & the walkabout round the campus made me realise how small everything was when I was there – well under a 1,000 students.
    Many thanks
